That’s why as Chairman of the Workers’ Compensation Council, Steve Buehrer is leading the effort to reform Ohio’s workers’ compensation system to make it more efficient for employers and injured workers around the state. Steve Buehrer also insisted that Northwest Ohio gets its fairs share of state funding to expand our roads and improve our infrastructure right here at home. His efforts have already led to greater business development in our area – but Steve Buehrer knows there is still more work to be done.

Steve Buehrer’s strong record of voting against tax increases and for responsible spending was recognized by the United Conservatives of Ohio, who presented him with the prestigious Watchdog of the Treasury Award three times.

That’s why Steve Buehrer is working hard to ensure that our schools in Northwest Ohio receive their fair share of state education funding and that our classrooms are equipped with the tools necessary to educate our children. Steve Buehrer is also committed to making sure our schools are held accountable for results and that our children are receiving the high quality education they deserve.
Six Generations of Leadership
Steve Buehrer is a native Northwest Ohioan. He and his wife, Cathy, are raising their three sons not far from the farm that has been in his family for six generations. He’s teaching his children the same values that have been passed down in his family since the founding of that farm – hard work, service to others, honesty, integrity and a commitment to fight for the future of Ohio.
